The project's aim is to promote integration of the Latvia`s two-community society on the basis of a uniform understanding of the historical events of the 20th century.
Within the project there will be activities promoting a uniform understanding of historical processes in young people of both Latvian and minority origin by explaining them in an interactive and ideology-free manner the role the minorities played in Latvia during the historical events of the 20th century and will also motivate them to evaluate the role of minorities in the history of Latvia.
Within the project a uniform museum pedagogy programme for the Barricades Museum and the Occupation Museum will be developed, educational seminars organized and methodological materials to history teachers disseminated. There will be historical simulation games played, field trips on the museum-bus organized and an educational animation film for the younger pupils developed.

Project results: The main aim of the Project was to espousal integration of Latvian two – community society on the bases of common understanding of 20th century history.

The direct target group of the project was defined as children and youngsters (1st – 12th grade), both – pupils of Latvian and national minorities schools. Project non – direct target group was teachers of history.

Project activities were implemented with the aim to establish common understanding about historical processes in the teritory of Latvia and to promote a positive role of national minorities in those proceses.

To hit the project aim, several activities were organized:

1. Developed museumpedogogical programme of project topic for use in both involved museums;
2. Methodological material for teachers were developed and presented for 100 history teachers in the teacher seminar;
3. Three historical reconstruction games for pupils were organized to help them better underdstand processes of 20th century;
4. Traveling museum exchibition in the museum – bus were developed and 42 schools in Latvia were visited with that;
5. 17 minutes long educative multiplication movie pictuering 1991. Barricades events were developed and shared around schools of Latvia.

As a result, young generation of Latvia have gain bases to create from stereotypes free society.
