Name of the project - " Family Assistants Jelgava city "
The project aims - to promote the association members , retirement and pre-retirement age the social inclusion and integration into the labor market participation of innovative social service building and to enhance the available social support and quality of service in Jelgava city .
The target group - 25 retirement and pre-retirement age persons
Project activities- assistants job description and responsibilities, training programs and business model development, family assistant training, social service recipients - risk families with children identification and implementation of the service, cultural events and conferences.
Results of the project - designed family assistant training program, 25 trained and pre- retired persons, developed and introduced new social services and promote the integration of persons into the labor market.

Project results: In the course of project implementation, combining JSLP human resources and the Pensioners' Society has an important contribution to the achievement of the objective of the project:
1. The complete pre-retirement and retirement age of 28 people in the target group who participated in the training process in obtaining new knowledge and skills;
2. Developed learning programme „Family assistant” and innovative social service module of the transaction;
3. And introduced as the innovative social service - a family assistant service to provide support to at-risk families with children;
4. 24 persons are integrated into the labour market, 11 of them are ready to provide their services from 01.07.2016 as family assistants, they will be prompted to enter into service contracts for the family the assistant to the provision of services;
5. 24 families with 57 children, 6 months as part of the project received different types of assistance, developed his social skills and abilities, have resulted in social functioning favourable conditions. 15 families have been improvements in the social situation, as evidenced by the survey results.
The implementation of the project strengthened cooperation between NGOs and Jelgava City Council of the common social problems solving and decision making, as well as cooperation between the generations. The team worked for a senior social worker, a mentor, activities, the curator, project manager. Families with children with family assistants, learning new skills, searching for solutions, learned to live positively, it was reinforced family values. The inclusion of families were promoted employment-friendly activities. JSLP were developed in cooperation with the job descriptions and family assistant work tasks, provides funding for the implementation of the Assistant service in 2016 .pusgadā. 2 Local government binding regulations will be developed. In this legislative act will be included in this new social service family assistant service, which also guarantee the sustainability of project results.
