Public health of population is one the most important indicator for sustainable development of every country. One of the main factors of good population health is knowledges about health promotion and disease prevention. Education of patients and their parents is needed in Latvia. It is very important that parents understood causes of disease when their child had got diagnosis of some chronic disease. They need to be informed about all possible ways how to live with child diagnosis, how to increase quality of life of child who has some chronic disease. It is very stressful for both: child and parents, therefore it is very important that parents got answers to all their questions and worries.
Main benefits for target group of the project – families with children, were information about health promotion and disease prevention, where to get some more additional information and treatment if needed, they received free information materials etc. Main benefits for health specialists were information how to work with families who has child with some chronic health problems, how to solve conflict situations, how to communicate with difficult patients etc. So they increase their knowledges about psycho-emotional topics and communication skills.
