The goal of the project is to ensure the availability of innovative children’s palliative care services (using telemedicine technologies) to families with incurable disabled children, thus promoting an increase in the family’s overall well-being, strengthening democratic values and compliance with human rights in Latvia.
During the project, the target group will be provided with a palliative care service in a home setting according to an individual care plan. Support will be provided to families with children with incurable diseases (and children with special needs), best practices in providing children’s palliative care services in Belarus will be learned and adopted, informative materials will be prepared and published, and a seminar-camp will be organized.
The project’s target group is families with incurable children (children with special needs).

Project results: The aim of the project: provision of accessibility of innovative (application of telemedical devices) children's palliative care services for every family with an incurable disabled child, favouring an increase in the overall well-being of the family and strengthening democratic values and compliance with human rights in Latvia. The results of the project:

1. Provision of children's palliative care services for 40 families (100 persons), including innovative telemedicine technology.
2. Provision of 3 support groups for families with incurable children:
• a support group for parents and the persons involved in the child care (grandparents) (7 participants);
• a support group for grieving parents (7 participants);
• a support group for siblings of the incurable child (6 children).
3. Acquisition of best practice and experience exchange on the provision of children's palliative care services in Belarus.
4. Organization of the informative seminar-camp "Together It Is Easy!" for 15 families (51 person)
5. Elaboration of informative materials and creation of the publicity of the project: (1 project's initiation seminar, 6 press releases, information published in social networks, 1 project's closing seminar, 2 press conferences).
